2018-01-31

We are thrilled to announce that An's Seed is the winner of the 2017 Freeman Book Awards Honorable Mention for Children's Literature. The annual Freeman Book Awards for new young adult and children's literature is sponsored by The National Consortium for Teaching about Asia (NCTA), the Committee on Teaching about Asia (CTA) of the Association for Asian Studies (AAS), and Asia for Educators (AFE) at Columbia University. The awards recognize quality books for children and young adults that contribute meaningfully to an understanding of East and Southeast Asia.

An's Seed was acclaimed as "A gentle fable about mindfulness. The illustrations have a simple charm befitting the story… its lesson on following the natural order and choosing thoughtful action is praiseworthy.”
