They deftly display how seamlessly some bilingual Chinese titles fit into the American picture book market. They are really and truly great books.

—Betsy Bird A Fuse #8 Production

The author subtly uses succinct words to position CeeCee in the middle of all the overlapping stories, therefore an exact focus in the whole story. The illustrator brings readers to involve in the ongoing activities during the same period of time with CeeCee's friend. The detailed description of every child's activities in pictures further strengthens the relationship between text and image, and exemplifies childhood imagination and humor.

—Sandra Lee from the National Center for Montessori Education

I'd give Candied Plums a hug if I could. We have a very large Chinese population and I'm always struggling to find good Chinese language books to add to our collection. These are gorgeous and I love the fact that they are contemporary Chinese picture books. We have many translations of American titles but not as many original Chinese stories. I am also very glad of the full English descriptions of the books on the website.

—Julie Rines from Thomas Crane Public Library

Many children are playing around, some singing, some playing games, some shopping and some picnicking, while CeeCee sits all alone on the bench. Why doesn't she come to play? Everyone is curious. Is CeeCee uncomfortable? Is she unhappy? Can't she hear? At the turn of each page, we will discover the reason of why CeeCee would rather sit and do nothing than play in the bustling park.
